Pelican Landing

Long Beach

3 Bedrooms 2.5 Bathrooms 8 Sleeps 1599 sq. ft.

Pelican Landing is a beautifully furnished townhouse with single garage with an EV plug in near the Peninsula Golf Course -- an easy walk to the beach or a short drive to downtown. The atmosphere of this home is relaxed, with a touch of elegance, set amid the dunes and the beach pines, within walking distance to the beach or the Peninsula Golf Course. To access the beach, please use the public path located at the West end of The Breakers parking lot.

At 1700 square feet, Pelican Landing is both one of the largest 3-bedroom units on the peninsula and one of the only units that boasts not one, but TWO master suites. The ground floor master suite features an elegant four-poster queen bed, propane fireplace, TV, private deck, and large attached bathroom with walk-in shower. The second-floor master has a beautiful queen bed with French styled rich cherry frame, large, attached bathroom and connected walk-in closet. The main level has the kitchen, living room, third powder room, laundry, and garage. The living room couch conveniently includes a hide-a-bed. The third bedroom includes twin trundle beds and is located upstairs adjacent to the second master suite and loft. Also located in the loft is a convertible futon chair. The kitchen is bright and well-equipped with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. There is a full-size range, fridge, and dishwasher. For evenings or rainy days there’s cable TV with DVD in the living room, as well as a propane fireplace. For your comfort, Pelican Landing is no smoking and no pets, please.

Besides 2 golf courses, there’s great shopping and a variety of restaurants close by in the downtown core, plus lots of things for the kids to do – arcades, carnival rides, miniature golf and more. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. Long Beach and Seaview feature a variety of eateries from casual family restaurants to upscale restaurants and cafes. After dinner you can walk the boardwalk to enjoy one of our colorful sunsets too.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July and the Blues and Seafood Festival in August. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.

On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters or pastries and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. Or try the course at the Surfside Golf Course north of Ocean Park. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Leadbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay. Make sure you stop in historic Oysterville to see the wonderful old church there too.

We had 6 guys on a fishing trip and this place was a great location, plenty of room for all of us and had everything we needed. Very happy with this place.

This place was great! We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach to see the sunset at the end of our day of exploring other parts of the area. The place was spotless and very comfortable and very close to many shops in Long Beach. We would definitely stay there again!

When we arrived toilet paper was greatly lacking. We made a call to have some delivered. Dishwasher and laundry room also lacked enough to complete washing all that was asked of us. Kitchen stove sparked twice and the breaker went out. Most of the stove burners would not heat up or did it sporadically making all our holiday cooking pretty complicated and frustrating. Kitchen had no mixing bowls, only a plastic salad bowl and small plastic serving bowl. We used pots and pans to mix with. We were pretty overwhelmed with all of these issues and our stay was not as great as we had hoped for the Christmas season.

Nice, clean, comfortable home just a short drive from restaurants, stores and entertainment. There is a path for a short walk to the beach less than 100 feet from the front door.

THis was a nice property and met our needs. HOwever, the listing was a little misleading, because it was not a stand alone condo and connected to the neighbor. It also was not on the front line with a beach view. It did have good beach access, but not a beach view. We also had to do a lot of cleaning before we left. It made me question the extra fees and cleaning fees. Nice rooms, however. Having a washer dryer was a plus.

The location was perfect for attending our large family reunion held right next door at The Breakers. It was very convenient to go back and forth with the baby for napping. The private path through the dunes to the beach was a real bonus. We struggled with the blinds which sorely need to be replaced. The two primary suites were very nice, but the bedroom on the main floor only has a glass door w/ screen. That was a problem with temps in the '70s. The only way to keep that room cool at night was to keep the door open. The screen locked, but we didn't feel it provided enough security at night.

The location of Pelican Landing was about perfect for our Kite Festival stay. The duplex was clean and bright, with enough space for all seven of us to sleep comfortably.

It was a great place to stay. We stayed for a week and it was an awesome clean and lace to stay. Will stay there again when we come back to go deep sea fishing.

Great place to stay! 2 Masters was very convenient and minutes to the Discover trail for beach access. Neighbor is a little grumpy and a big truck will not fit in the garage (only parking for one car garage parking). Overall a really nice place for the money.
